With a smart home, you could quiet all of these worries with a quick glance at your smart phone or tablet. You could connect the devices and appliances in your home so they can communicate with each other and with you.
Any device in your home that uses electricity can be put on your home network and at can be controlled by your command. Whether you give that command by voice, remote control, tablet or smart phone, the home will react. As the devices are in home network, home central system, will be able to control it automatic and with your command. Example: switching of the lights when no one is in room automatically.
Home automation or smart home is building automation for the home.
